Joseph
Hobbs 
Joseph Hobbs studied at the Rhode
Island School of Design and the California College of the Arts. He is
the shop technician at the Belmont Art and Cultural Center in Pensacola,
Florida. In 2004 Joe studied with glass sculptor Pino Signoretto at Pilchuck,
and returned in 2005 as a member of the Poleturners Union. His Cherokee
heritage inspires him to create Native American narratives in the medium
of glass. His newest body of work includes the Broken Promise series which
is a reflection as well as a tribute to the struggles that his ancestors
endured.
